The Vertical Trek is a zip line tour that takes you from the top of the mountain all the way back to the bottom. Experience an array of zip line and challenge course elements, fully guided by our knowledgeable and friendly guides. The Vertical Trek is our most comprehensive zip line experience, with 10 zip lines up to 400' long and 40' high.

After you've zipped through the trees down and down the mountain on our Vertical Trek zip line tour, stick around and have some more fun! For just $20 more, you can combine your zip line tour with the Adventure Package at Roundtop Mountain Adventures. Go on your tour, then spend the rest of your day cooling off in our water attractions, and doing even more climbing and zipping. Available the for the same day as your Vertical Trek tour through September 3.

Enjoy all the thrill of the Vertical Trek Zip Line Tour in the dark! Our night Treks are suggested for guests who have some experience zipping, or are up for an even more challenging experience. Night Tours will be offered at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays at a price of $80.00. Space is limited to 6 per tour time so sign up early!
What Makes the Vertical Trek Different?
The Vertical Trek is a fully guided tour down a wooded mountainside. Our guides will help you get the most out of your Trek experience. In addition, our mountain location provides great views at the top, the opportunity to zip off of natural cliff formations and an atmosphere that will take you far away from the stresses of the outside world.
What Should I Wear?
The Vertical Trek is an outdoor experience so be sure to wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. Closed toe and heal shoes are required. A water bottle that can be clipped on to a belt loop can be helpful. Please make sure that whatever you bring on the Trek can be secured because some areas are not easily accessible from the ground.

The Vertical Trek begins with a chairlift ride to the top of the mountain. Participants descend over 600 vertical feet using a series of zip lines (up to 400 feet in length), rope bridges, tarzan swings, cargo nets and scenic walks. Some of the features have start and finish platforms that are over 40' high. Treks take approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
The Vertical Trek is for ages 10+. All participants must be between 70 - 250 lbs. The Trek has many features that require some level of physical stamina. There are some features where the participant is zipping on a line from tree to tree for up to 400 feet at an height of as much as 40 feet off the ground. If you have a concern for heights please take a look at these Trek pictures prior to making your reservation.
Treks depart promptly. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled Trek. Reservations are strongly recommended. Departure times are firm and payment will not be refunded if the Trek leaves without you.
Please note: The Trek is designed to be a thrilling physical activity. Many of the elements are over 40' off the ground. The ability to climb nets and ladders, and walk over rugged wooded terrain is required. We are unable provide refunds for Trekkers who start and can not finish the Trek due to fear of heights or lack of physical ability.
Treks run rain or shine except for when there is lightning or high winds.
